About Paul

Paul Driskell’s long experience in the trucking industry provides the foundation for the multifaceted TLC Services Group, Inc. He joined his father’s trucking company, Driskell Trucking, in 1967 after graduating from California State University at Long Beach with a degree in economics.

Appointed president of the company in 1970, his unique management style and penchant for getting things done quickly became apparent to all around him. He began to acquire small companies under the “Driskell” corporate umbrella, became active in important community and industry organizations, and started the slow process of modernizing the 30-year-old company.

As part of the modernization process, Driskell expanded the company’s relations with North American Van Lines, increased Driskell Trucking’s hauling authority from one to 15 states and, by 1975, had built Driskell Trucking and Driskell North American into a $10 million business.

In a move designed to concentrate on TLC Services Group, Inc. and the expanding labor contracting market, Driskell sold Driskell Trucking and Driskell North American in 1989.

An accomplished speaker whose knowledge of the transportation labor market is second to none, Driskell is past President of the Driver Employee Council of America (DECA), member of the Executive Board of the California Trucking Association (CTA), and past Chairman of the Allied Conference.

Effective February of 2008 he has sold his interest in The TLC Service Group to pursue his interest in consulting, real estate and golf.
