About John
After starting his career in New York City with a prominent Wall Street law firm, John relocated to Southern California where he has been practicing for over 30 years. In 2000, after working as a partner in a top end boutique firm for many years (and as a partner in the Southern California office of a leading San Francisco firm) John opened his own practice so that when clients engage his services they are able to obtain the expertise of a Wall Street quality senior partner while also getting the personal commitment and concierge service of a small firm without the risk of over staffing and the attendant, unnecessary added waste and fees.
John has built his practice based on the traditional values of top quality work and personal availability and attention. His engagements come almost entirely from the enthusiastic personal recommendations of his clients and other professionals (such as other attorneys, accountants and business advisors) with whom he has worked, or whose clients he has serviced, over the last 30 years, and who have been able to see his work and witness the nature and quality of his client representation first hand. As a consequence of his many years of experience John has developed a particular feel for, and rapport with, the owners of privately held and family businesses.
Personal
John has been married for over 30 years and he and his wife, Sarajane, have two children, Trevor and Taube. His hobbies include collecting art, reading on history and writing children’s books in rhymed verse.
